New Microphone
As a Christmas present, my brother wrote me a check and told me that I was to spend that money on a microphone. Over the weekend, I found myself near a Guitar Center so I strolled in and shopped around for a mic. I ended up buying an AKG Precision 200. I’ve only used it for a short while, but I really like what I hear, and that’s without spending any time with the placement of the mic or the E.Q.
I’m really excited about having a microphone because up until now, I’ve been plugging my guitar directly into my laptop and using the built-in mic on the laptop to record vocals. The guitar was working fine, but the vocals were definitely lacking.
You should listen to this song while looking at the picture below. It was our (Corben and I) first attempt with the microphone, it’s a little rough, but the sound quality is great.

Nice mic, cool tunes, where’s the vocals? We also like your house. I bet it is nice to have a washer and dryer. You’re watercolors are cool, what else are you learning in art class? Joel says the addition of the mandolin in the song you wrote below is unique and bangarang. April wants to know about the girls in your life. Owen wants to see his Uncle Jeff.

It’s like musical poetry void of word. Lovely. It intrigues, it does indeed…
